On Thursday June 13th Joyce Bancroft, creator of this quilt, went to the “Third Annual Night in the Park” at the National’s stadium in Washington DC. Her quilt was auctioned at the event to raise money for MS research. Joyce had the honor of meeting Ryan Zimmerman and his mother and father. How exciting!

Many items were donated and auctioned off to support the foundation. Joyce’s quilt brought in $900.00!!! My connection with this project is that I quilted it for Joyce. To see the beginning of this story click here, and for the second part of the story click here.

Cheryl Zimmerman has MS and this foundation was started by her son Ryan in her honor. Ryan Zimmerman is a Major League Baseball player for the Washington Nationals.
